Anchored is a paid, voice-first daily news briefing by HBKL Labs. Open the app, press play, and hear a short personalized audio brief assembled from public news sources.

Getting started

1. Sign in with Apple.
2. Choose your topics and subtopics. These shape what your briefing covers.
3. Set your delivery time, and optionally pick a voice and briefing length.
4. Subscribe to unlock briefings. Then press play when your briefing is ready.

Managing your subscription

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed in the App Store, not inside the app.

To view, change, or cancel

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap your name at the top.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Select Anchored to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel, or to turn off auto-renewal.

Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the app or switch devices, open Settings in the app and use "Restore Purchases" to restore your subscription on the same Apple ID.

Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. HBKL Labs cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

Frequently asked questions

When does my briefing arrive?

Your briefing is prepared for the delivery time you set in Settings. If notifications are on, you get a "briefing ready" alert that opens straight to the player.

Why is my briefing not ready yet?

Briefings are generated on a schedule rather than instantly. If you just changed your topics or delivery time, the change applies to your next scheduled briefing. If a briefing seems missing, check your internet connection, then contact support.

How is the briefing created?

The text is generated by AI from public news and RSS sources, then voiced using text-to-speech. Because it is AI-generated, it can contain errors and should not be your only source of news. See the Terms of Service for details.

Can I change my voice, topics, or delivery time?

Yes. All of these are in Settings and can be changed at any time. Changes take effect on your next briefing.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings in the app and choose to delete your account. This permanently removes your authentication record and your account data, including preferences and history. This cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription, so cancel it separately in the App Store.

Do you sell my data or show ads?

No. There are no ads, no cross-app tracking, and we do not sell your personal data. See the Privacy Policy.
