Privacy Policy

HBKL Labs ("we," "us," or "the Company") builds and publishes independent software, including iOS and macOS apps and the websites that support them. This privacy policy explains how the Company handles information at the company level and how it relates to the individual apps we publish.
Per-app policies come first
Each HBKL Labs app has its own privacy policy that describes exactly what that app collects and why. When you use one of our apps, that app's policy governs your data. You can find the per-app policies at:
Information the Company handles
Beyond what individual apps collect, the Company itself handles a limited set of information:
- Contact messages. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive the message and the address you sent it from so we can reply.
- Website usage. Our websites are served through standard web infrastructure that may process basic request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not run cross-site advertising trackers on our sites.
How we use it
- To respond to your questions and support requests.
- To operate, secure, and improve our apps and websites.
- To comply with legal obligations.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not build cross-app advertising profiles of you.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run our apps and sites, such as cloud hosting, authentication, and content delivery. These providers process data only to provide their service to us and are bound by their own privacy commitments. The relevant providers for a given app are listed in that app's privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because most personal data lives inside individual apps, the fastest path is usually the in-app controls described in each app's policy. You can also contact us directly and we will help.
Children's privacy
Our apps and sites are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
